I have been operating under the assumption that Track-day insurance is simply unavailable in NZ. Not so:

Track and training days are able to be covered for all Platinum Euro policy holders............

(Platinum Euro policy) for new and used European vehicles valued over $50,000...........

(track days)..........are currently undertaken by Continental Car Services, the Porsche Club, the Porsche Association of New Zealand, BMW, Downforce Driver Training, and Track Time (Mike Eady).

but there are companies that will insure - it just costs. A mate insured his GT3 for Targa (competing) last year...........
