Wondering if anybody can help?!

We are visiting NZ for a holiday for much of March, and instead of hiring a (push bike) which is ficking expensive, we are planning on getting something on trademe, and selling on when we leave. We would ideally like somewhere in / near Auckland to leave the bike for the trademe buyer to pick up from, in exchange for beer / beer tokens.

Many thanks

I can possibly do better than that. I have 2 MTBs sitting in the garage unused. Why don't I lend you one? Possible complication: I'm average height but have small- frame MTBs for more manoeuverability. If you're tall, It's no good to you. failing that, I'm in Orakei, central-ish Auck and would happily stow your bikes 4 you.

Thanks all! Fraster - many thanks for your offer, have emailed you offline.

Rob - we are in Christchurch between 9th and 13th March, and are staying with keen cyclists. We will more than likely be borrowing / buying a roadbike, although our friends do have spare mountain bikes. I'm a fairly decent road rider but bugger all experience mountain biking! If you want to email your number, will try to give you a call when we are there - our friends have been there just over a year and might have undiscovered territory also!

Cheers

Cool will pm you my telno, offroad riding in chch tens to be on the flat forrest easy stuff or hilly rocky technical stuff. Happy to do either.

Ra (easiest way up the hills) 350m climb over 4-5km then some singletrack thats not too OMG death inspiring (bowenvale traverse track) then back down by one route or another is probably the least scary port hills trip.

Hope you enjoy the holiday, ive just been out round the hills and harbor on my bike this morning.

Thanks - storage sorted, Rob - will be in touch when we get to Chch.

Typically bugger all on trade me finishing at the right time - anybody offer any tips on where to get a good deal on an '09 bike? Will check out other forums too, including the one linked above.
