Here are a few more pics to share. I wasn’t going to go, but last minute went out with a mate on Sat and had a brilliant day. So glad I went. Loads of rare and interesting cars to look at. It was a massive meet!
The sound of those F5000 cars going up the hill onto the straight was truly a beautiful thing!!!

One for Saker fans wink Snuck in beside us. Spotted Johns Atom, row in front of us also.

Kenny Smith

Grid of 32 F5000 cars - lovely sight.

Now that’s what I call a wing!!

The racing had a bit more of a single seater focus than have previous classic race meets Ive been to which didnt appeal to me quite as much but it was still a great event.

First time Ive seen Hampton Downs, looks like a great track, can't wait to have a go myself.

Got to have my first drive of a Lotus Elise thanks to George's dad. Auckland motorway was hardly the best place to enjoy it but still a lot of fun. Though when we got to the track about six marshalls directed us to the VIP parking area despite us saying we didnt have the ticket for it until the final one wouldnt let us park there and we were directed back to the main parking area which was only just Lotus ride height suitable. I assume this will be fixed as the track facilities are developed further though.

Heres some of the photos I took

This Cooper looked really fun to drive, sliding through all the corners etc

A great weekend, a chance to catch up with old friends both people and cars from the Masters series that i worked with... I promised myself to keep the camera in the car and to just enjoy the raceing for a change, but in the end i couldn't resist! Some of mine from the weekend.

not only was there a half-decent TV special on this last week, but there's now quite a bit of this on youtube. Exhibit A : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZAfsXLYCkE
