Rebuilding a SR20DET

Having broken a valve and melted a piston racing my S15 at Manfield a few weeks back I am now in the process of rebuilding. So to my question, has anyone got any advice for a first time SR20DET builder, I have worked on plenty of other motors but never one of these?

There are plenty of easily available tuning bits if you can treat it as an excuse for upgrades

Not much help on the technical detail though sorry, probably more likely to find SR20-specific info on a 200SX/Silvia or drift forum.
