Parts of an email from a fellow hooner.... Rather funny I thought and seems like the typical outing to me hehe

I don't know if you get this in Auckland. Here in Dunedin whenever I take my car out I just seem to be constantly challenged by drivers. The boy races are actually fine...they just want to take a look and then they back off and usually give me a thumbs up. But I have had vans and trucks pass me at ridiculous speeds, then cut in front of me. Yesterday I was motoring along at a pretty fast pace and a guy passed me in a truck ON THE OFF RAMP, cut in front of me, and nearly flew off the road. I would have happily pulled over and congratulated him on such fine driving but I think he was embarrassed that he almost lost it and worse, almost hit the car in front of him. He took off pretty quick. I was wondering whether you got even more of that because you're a girl?

I always thought Christchurch drivers were worse for that... in Dunedin they usually don't even realise there is a car/bike/pedestrian beside/behind/in front of them.
