I have been interested in these for a while... first the RST RST as used in the Caterham 7 Levante. They also do a V6 which is more than adequate RiF
If it can fit into a standard width Caterham, it should fit in a Fraser.
I think there is an American version too... called the Bikini or something similarly nuclear test related...
Let me know if you decide to do it.. Intersting project

I'm sticking with the 2zzge for now. I think I would need to be a (ahem) somewhat better driver to handle THAT sort of Power-to-weight

Have been looking to build up a light weight Exige Race car. This is part of the research . Came across the attached picture and have been moving forward from there. The Hartley is a little expensive at USD$28k but have become attached to the idea ... if the price is not overwhelming .

Birkin? South African version of Lotus 7...or have I completely misconstrued your purpose and are you actually referring to another nano-V8

Hi

Nothing to do with the Birkin... it is another motorcycle V8 motor... I'll see if I can find it again and post it up... [dons mining helmet and collects pick and shovel]

Found it... at dp vehicles. The first V8 went into an Atom, the second went into a prototype vehicle called the dp1 ... The whole project was called Bikini. The engine came from Hartley enterprises. Have a look at another V8 and Hartley Enterprises

Specs were: 2.8L, 375 naturally aspirated horsepower at 10K rpm, 210 lb-ft torque at 6.5K rpm.
They do a bigger version too.....

Much fun

Bikini is actually the name that Dennis gave the Atom. The Atom is an American version he bought from Brammo minus the engine and yes it's the Hartley engine that he fitted. The project blog is http://dpcars.aprsworld.com/atom/index.htm. The DP1 is Dennis Palatov's own creation.

Bikini, the Atom, was recently for sale at just under US$140K.

The NZ v8 busa type engine is the Synergy 2400cc V8 engine (see Fraster's post). It is the engine used in the NZ built DNS390 produced by Hyper Cars http://www.hypercars.co.nz/ Anyone that went on the Auckland PH run will recall the car at our last stop south of Tuakua.

Here's the Synergy V8 on the test bed.. http://www.youtube.com/user/simonlongdill#p/u/5/6P...
