RUAPUNA END OF YEAR BIG BASH
22nd December, 1-7pm

I like to see various exotica being driven in the manner intended. These events are attended by Lotus, Porsche, BM's, the odd Maserati, various quick Euro's, HSV's, FPV's and quirky stuff like a racing Fiat 500, Skyline GTR's, RS Renaults, VW GTI's, 370Z's, late model STI's and all sorts of other metal. No snobs, lap times don't matter, just real car enthusiasts having a ball.

I'd love to see some TVR's (any model) and anything else interesting.
The days have become incredibly popular and fill very quickly so if you'd like more info or would just like to come along don't muck about.
Below is the e-mail that's gone out to previous participants:

We've got the full track all afternoon and into twilight for a final 2009 fast fling.

I have also purchased use of the brand new corporate club rooms with brilliant elevated viewing deck for when you're watching, not driving.

The day will include everything, all refreshments, full lunch during the afternoon, post-track beer, wine and 'year end' prizes (including the sought after 'Driver of the Year Award').

The last event sold out very quickly so book your place early for what's looking like being a great summer day out at the track. If you have friends that would like to attend they should get in touch, we had to turn away dozens last time.

We also have very limited spaces of hot lap slots with New Zealand's best high speed instructor Andy Neale (think Schumacher plus a bit....). These are just $25 for 7 laps and there are only 10 slots available. First come first served.

You just need your car, helmet and your 'bag of driving talent', overalls are optional as are fire extinguishers. We have our own full safety systems in place for the day

The day only costs $135 all inclusive.
Payment will secure your place.

Deposit/transfer to:

ASB 12-3027-0429580-002
or cheque payable to:
Paul Cardosi
at
14 Simeon Quay
Lyttelton 8082

PLEASE ENSURE YOU REFERENCE YOUR PAYMENT WITH YOUR CAR/NAME.

Look forward to seeing you out there,

Out of interest do you run (or plan to run) any trackdays at Teretonga or Levels as well? They're a bit closer and more convenient for me wink

Ben, you're not exactly 'left at the end of the road, first on the right' but I always imagined we would indulge in a 'gentle'beerdrinkyikesdriving race circuit trip of the South Island sometime.

If you can make it as far as Levels circuit then surely you can manage the little bit extra to the mighty 'Ruapuna International Raceway'.

Send your e-mail and vehicle details to 'trackdaysnz@xtra' and you'll be informed of future events.

yes

The family are in Timaru so I'm there fairly often, extra distance to Ruapuna not a problem just timing probably won't work out for me for the Dec one unfortunately. Will sign up for the event updates smile

This day has been full for a while now so sorry to those that have been e-mailing for a place.

The events sell out quick so to anyone that would like to recieve dates and invites before they're posted on message boards e-mail me your details (name, car and e-mail address) and you'll get the information before the general public.

If you fancy coming a peek you're welcome, not in the pits or pit car park though.
