Prologue is on Sunday avo near Pukekohe with the main event starting Monday morning - they're not doing the Manukau street course thing this year. Monday we do Pukekohe (I'm probably the only person in the event that's never been round it!) as well as Hampton Downs and Taupo.

If you want to come out and spectate anywhere PM me and I'll email the maps (7MB file), or buy the latest NZ Classic Car mag which has the full programme, maps, interviews, etc.

For Wellington folks there's some good viewing options on Saturday. The Whitemans Valley stage has a couple of acute intersections that are bound to have som action. Personally I'd go for the intersection of Whiteman's valley road and the Mangaroa turnoff. We'll be coming from the right and then onto the bridge.

Good viewing options at Shelly Bay or Ohariu Valley also.

I'll be tweeting when we've got some time (and network coverage) with pics of anything interesting on the way. You don't need to be a twitterer unless you want to send us a message back - just keep an eye on www.twitter.com/nzdon during the week.

Here's hoping we're still looking like this at the finish on Tarnaki Wharf on Saturday week!

Everything is prepared as we can make it. The car felt good when I drove it up to the start last weekend, so heres hoping it holds together and we can find enough skill to keep it tidy. It is too good an event to miss, so it has to be done.
Come and say hello if you get out to see the event, it will be good to meet a few more PHers

Excuse my ignorance, what are you driving?

The carsick bit is very true... I am much better at this than Don having desecrated several roadside verges last year :-)
He has always managed to retain his lunch despite my best efforts behind the wheel

there's a bit of an organised nosey planned by Fraser club at Hampton, so I'll cheer from the sidelines!

cool ! What speeds are the cars getting up to on the longest front straight at Hampton downs, did they get all the pit area sealed in time?

Crikey! (and by Jove!) That was a bit scary. Glad none of you ended up with bent cars -or worse- at Hampton. That tailback from the pits out into the main straight was unbelevable-and no flag marshalls anywhere!
But for ABS, that near miss would have been very messy indeed!
Porsche is looking great! Have a ball.

ps. A T-car??? (I was actually pleasantly surprised at its speed)

Great day! HD a highlight, the contours make it hugely interesting. We've had a few issues but nothing that cost much time. Nearly lost brakes at puke with all the chicanes and pit entry/exit but a bleed at next service got them back. Still something not quite right there though. we're 5th in class, or as we like to think of it, 2nd of the non-M3s. One of the has 280hp which is more than 100 more than us, and lighter! 8th in the classic comp overall. Iain's in the drivers seat tomorrow. Bring it on smile

Good to see Proctor's Esky rebuilt after last year's mishap. Still running Nissan V6-turbo power?
