Yeah, NZ episodes are trimmed from the BBC standard 1 hour to the NZ standard 45 minute "hour".

Hence why I don't watch it on Prime and watch my top gear ever so slightly less-ligally.

I was a bit miffed to see the Evora review cut out too. If you, ahem, watch episodes online, you will see they are 60mins long, as George said. Its a shame Prime won't just run it to 8:45 though. Of course, as a crime it pales in comparison to TV3 putting the news on just as Bathurst was getting interesting .

I don't look forward to TG like I used; over the years I have recorded every episode (Seasons 1-12), pausing the ads on the DVD recording as well. Haven't bothered to tape the last two seasons though (and my DVD recorder is on the piss anyway). I still watch the old ones occasionally, usually when I'm sick in bed or just super bored.

NZ TV channels need to realise that they just can't keep taking the piss like this. If they can't provide overseas programs in anything resembling a timely manner and without cutting half of the content out, more and more people will turn to the alternatives.
