Hands free phone car kits
Discussion
If this new law does come into effect in Nov, I better get cracking and sort out some bluetooth action for the car. Having a quick look in a Vodaphone shop yesterday those visor clip on units range from $150-300+ which I thought would be good to transfer to other cars anytime. Then theres those hard wired jobs that go through your stereo and then the radio frequency ones.
So question is ~~~~ >> whats good and what is not?

Using a BlueAnt Supertooth 3 with iphone(s) in the better halfs Subie - works really well. Simple and reliable, pairs with multiple phones so good for his and hers.
Only -ve would be they don't recomment hard- wiring/ continuous connection to power source, so it pays to leave the charger in the. Supplied with 2 visor clips and is held on with 2 magnet so install into the other car.
Would buy again and probably will for my car. BlueAnt stuff seems to get excellent real world perfromance - a mate went through 3 different setups before getting the BlueAnt helmet mounted bluetooth intercom/handsfree setup for his Harley.
FWIW

My mate's review is in and he says he's happy with the one from JB HiFi - it's a Belkin Tunebase Direct. Apple store link with reviews here: http://store.apple.com/nz/product/TW380LL/A?mco=Nj...
I've been reading a few reviews and my take on it is that the Blueant one is probably a better handsfree kit with it's dedicated speaker/mic mounted on the visor and text-to-speech so you know who's calling. Also better for moving between cars.
The Belkin uses the standard mic which doesn't give your caller as good sound but it doubles up as a mount for your phone to play music through the stereo. I'll probably go for the Belkin as I don't spend much time on the phone in the car anyway, and don't need it to be portable between cars.
