Catlins Rally today...

More amusing antics, result of some over-enthusiasm from Glenn Inkster 8km into the first stage:
He arrived on foot at the spectator point asking for volunteers to help push it out but we did! 6 or 8 of us, a rope and some gravel thrown under the wheels eventually got it back on the road but he lost a lot of time.

These might be the first set of photos that make me miss home after 10 years away. Dad is from Woodlands, Mum is from Alex, I'm from Gore, and the whole of Otago/ Southland has the best roads I have driven on
Great pics! Cheers for sharing.

ETA: I'd be keen to know if you have come across one of my old rally cars in either the escc or oscc rallys.
This was a serious amount of fun. 170HP 1289cc (Class A Historic), fibreglass/carbon fibre/ plastic and 710kg ready for skids
Last race I drove it in was the 2000 Rally NZ, before it had a complete rebuild.
It was stored for when I moved back, but after getting married in the UK in 2004, was sold to a guy called Tim Dobier who lived in Dunedin and worked for Cooke Howlison.
