I'm going down with the 968 to do a bit of one on one with a mate - just a day trip.

Have fun driving

Worth checking AA Roadwatch before you leave to check for roadworks on the various routes. Was a bit of ice around early this morning as well.

Ruapuna is an awesome track driving

The kerbs are quite deceptively high in a few places and contributed (along with some driver error) to a MR2 getting written-off at the PlayDay Week that was there a few months back.

Don't mean to scare you at all because I think it is a relatively safe track (MUCH safer than Pukekohe) if you drive within the capability of both you and your car. However it doesn't have as much room for error as a more modern track like Taupo.

Have a great time. thumbup

Kylie.... Does the '350' tag refer to horsepower? Somehow I don't think you'll have any problems lining us up for a speedy passing manoeuver wink

Yes it does, although mines been chipped up and running approx 420bhp wink Its not the power I am worried about, its my lack of time on the track = dodgey passing, bad lines and wondering if the road tyres are gonna stick if I over cook the corners hehe The Esprit is more suited to horsepower tracks like Puke. Its not nimble enough for twisty tracks. Love to try some full racing stickies, it would rock I rekon.

Nina & I are coming to play too. Very much learning how to drive the car again, it's all a bit nastier these days.

Hi

Good to be there in the 944 with Don - looking forwards to the pub on Sat night almost as much as the track action... wish I was bringing the 7 too though. List time I drove Taupo was in the kart, I thought then that it would suit the 7.

It's booked out, but there could be more cancellations before, or even on the day if you don't mind coming up on the off chance. Email the guys organising it here http://www.playdayontrack.co.nz/contact.html
