Formula Challenge = Formula 1 replica?

rofl

Though to be fair, to the average punter any single seater probably feels like an F1.

I remember watching the first ever formula challenge race in NZ (It was once "New Zealand's premier 'wings and slicks' class" before Formula Toyota came along a year later and completely stole their thunder.

I remember Jody Vincent running in third I think had a touch with the car in front and knocked off his front wing. "Oh" said the commentator "He'll have to come in and have that nose replaced, he'll be losing downforce on the front and it'll become a horrible car to drive!" At which point Jody then promptly stayed out on track, easily passing the 2nd and first placed cars before putting a sizeable gap on the field.... was a bit of a "whoops" moment for the Formula Challenge guys I think wink

And the rent-a-drive ones MUST be heavily governed to have lap times as slow as they do.

I see that Arron Slight's laptime has been taken off the site but the only laptime under 1:50 is a 1.49.98 at a time that must have been the faster exit off the back straight.

The specs have also been deleted but it was supposed to be a GSXR1100R in a body that is lighter and lower than the XTR2.

Still it is probably the driving 'thrill of a lifetime' for most people so I probably shouldn't be such a crybaby about a bit of hyperbole
