Is there a Porsche 911/944 for hire in Hamilton/Waikato ???
Discussion
Whislt being carted through Hamilton on the way to a nice bed after a 12 hour flight, I spotted a Porsche hire place in Hamilton, but for the life of me, I can't find it on the net... anyone else know where or what or who...? Or was I just dreaming ... after to much free wine/beer on the flight?
I also spotted a red Ulitma GTR! No wing sadly, but brought back a tear or two of regret!
Cheers

I don't know of any Porsche hire place, but that's not too far from Euro Pacific in Pirongia - Porsche specialists and preppers of many a Porsche racecar - so if it exists I'm sure they'll know about it. Or maybe they're involved in it.
The red Ultima is probably the one mentioned as being for sale, and the one which was built in Wellington over the last couple of years, and the one used in the Top Gear show (in V livery)... as far as I know, there is only one.

No, just back for a holiday... which is sadly almost over...
As for the spec of my old GTR...
Factory built
Ap Brakes
Carbon Wing
Leather interior
Custom metalic paint job
Usual extras, air con etc...
Engine was a 383 (6.3 litre) stroker build by Peter Knight Racing, Dry sumped, putting out 510 Bhp/470 ft/lb
Tranny was a G50-21 6 speed with a Quaife ATB LSD Diff, which was a little close geared for my liking, and 1st was useless except for parking in a carpark...
Most I ever wound it up before the tarmac and brass both ran out was about the 185 mph mark...
