I want to go Sking in S Island at end July/Eary August. I need to fly my 2 children from Norway to my home in Malysia, stop over a few days in KL,then me, my wife, youngest child, and the two from Norway, fly to S Island, hire a car, drive to a resort, stay in Hotel and ski.
Travel agents here in Malaysia are less than helpfull, can anyone suggest, email address please, a good agent in NZ who can help me. Difficult on the web, as I don't want to book the tikets from Norway pay and then find no flights on to NZ etc, I want some one to do the arranging for me in total.
These are expensive flights, I want a resonable hotel etc so a good commission for some one.
And if any one is reading this from NZ tourisum Air NZ forwarded my enquiry to their local Agent in KL who it appears can't be bothered to do anything.
Thanks for any info.

I has snowed in Malaysia, up high, but not here in KL , but I believe that Singapore is one of the few countries in the world were there is no record of any snow. Having lived in A Norwegian ski area for 10 years I like a winter holiday.
Anyway we missed our winter holiday this year because of exams etc, so plan to go somewhere new and do something different, thanks for your interest and help

Done!

You will love it here, not as upmarket like the top resorts in Switzerland or Colorado but not as many people and more bang for the buck smile Theres plenty of ski fields to choose from. Also consider a weekend in the North Island too, there's Turoa and Whakapapa. South Island I can recommend: Mt Hutt - good facilities, Mt Dobson (small no frills ski field), Coronet Peak - decent facilities and lifts, Remarkables - similar, Ohau - small no frills ski field. Round Hill - small no frills at Tekapo, Tasman Glacier skiing cool Also if yr into raw hard core skiing un groomed slopes there is Fox Peak, but you have to wear a belt with heavy clamp to hook onto a rope tow and hold on for dear life. Not good when you get the hooking up part wrong Lol.. dont ask.. Theres a few more ski fields I havent mentioned. But google these ski fields for starters to wet your appetite smile I have already got my gear checked over for the up coming season. I cant wait.

I forgot to mention, there's an indoor ski/boarding arena which will suit kids and learners better, but it is just north of Auckland and called Snow Planet. I went there last summer to see what the fuss was about. Turning up in t-shirts and shorts, then having to put ski gear on in car park with 28 deg heat Lol hehe

This lady always does our stuff - mad as a bag of monkeys but pretty darn good at delivering the best prices.

Kylie forgot to mention the best mid S island field, - Porters. But its all T bar which puts people off, though it has the longest run in the southern hemisphere.

If your into a decent resort & havinh it on a plate then Queenstown is where you want to be.

Canty ski fields are (apart from Mt Hutt) under developed to what your used to - most have T bars or rope tows, the club fields have an excelent vibe about them and often the best terrain /fresh snow.

There arnt any tree runs in NZ so dont expect that at all.

If your not into cruisy on a plate stuff theres plenty of heli ski/backcountry action.
