Intermarque Concours délegance - Ellerslie
Discussion
I'm actually coming up just to see this as the Porsche club will be having a 959 & a Carrera GT in its display. Well worth the trip. Driving up Saturday and home Sunday evening in a 996 GT2. Would be great to catch up with all the Auckland PHers some time if possible. Going out to dinner Sat night with some mates so maybe Sunday arvo? Hope your coming Graham?

Who ?? What ?? When ?? Where ??Sorry, been head down catching up on the work I missed in the last few weeks. Also getting the XTR2 back in track spec for Mon/Tue next week.
Certainly wouldn't be entering the Westie unless there is a Concours dé Shéd in a nearby paddock

Just about to leave. Will ring you when I get to Auckland. Be great if you could come along too on the Sunday. If any other PHers can make it my cell numbers on my advert on TM. Hoep I see you all there

Hi guys just uploaded some pics - warning heaps of pics attached!!! What a magic day and a record turn out of cars which was awesome to see. A special note to James (YHM) sorry I didnt get to say a proper hello as I was on the mobile but least its finally great to put names to faces now
Most Euro & British marques were represented very well but a few of my favs:
The DBS was my pic of the lot and had to go back three times for another look esp after spending some time talking to Alan from Classic Car Mag telling me what he did to that beast while test driving it etc... made me go all tingly Lol

How could you not like this

I want this number plate
but seriously the airbrushing work was very cool!

A great turn out of the Frasers, they looked fantastic

TVR stand, the Sagaris had drool factor

Chim

Atom - I want one

Lotus Escort

Porsche Club stand was massive!!

Insanely beautiful 300SL

Saving the best for last

Cheers so great to catch up with so many people.
Just sorted out a couple more pics. The Lotus pics taken above were done first thing in the morning before the crowds came and not too much sun reflection which was good. And Nick (Black Esprit SE owner) stole me from the Loti stand to cruise around the cars together so got the opportunity to take some more in the sun. Its really hard to take pics when so many people crowd around the more popular cars, you feel like shouting and say get the *uck out of the way do you not know I work for CC Mag !!!!
Wouldn’t that be nice
Gallardos do nothing for me but each to their own I suppose.

A much nicer rear end IMO and better sounding at idle too

Frasers

Roger got excited one of these blue ones could have been yrs but no red leather on these babies

Lost count of how many Porkers were there

Loved the bronze type of paint on this – not sure what the colour is called but it certainly caught my eye.

This one made it to the ring for judging

Love these but could never own one all I can think of is that they usually belong to balding old men

Hi Nick I actually took heaps of piccies of the muzzies, there were so many beautiful examples, the fastbacks are my personal favs but had to post a pic up of the notchback with candy apple paint work, the pic didnt do it justice it simply glowed and if Nick Ray chims in he can also confirm how good it looked. I took a few more of the Vettes as well, but yeah plenty of real muscle cars there which is great.
