Car hire in Wellington?

Well, 10 days and counting. I'll be landing in Wellington and need to hire a car for 18 days, dropping off at Auckland airport. Anyone any preferences?!

At this late stage, for a one-way booking, I think you'll need to take whatever is available.

Usual suspects - Avis, Budget, Hertz ?

About New Zealand are cheap and have a depot here and Auckland. Not the same level of service as the name brands, cars not as new, etc. but I've used them a couple of times and found them OK. http://www.rentalcar.co.nz/
