Just back from the Taupo A1GP road-trip and have a little quiz for you all to try and answer:
How much fuel do you think I used (in my 280bhp twin-turbo 4wd Subaru wagon) for the entire trip?

Oh and if someone who is a mod could delete the other thread I accidentaly started as a wiki that would be handy...

Ok my maths is really avg compared to you engineer nerds, but here goes!
I am assuming you kept the car pretty tame for most of the journey getting best fuel economy right? The variables could be: I am banking on you did around 2500kms all up. Your car has a 65-70L tank? Id say your getting 400kms per tank spirited driving and 450-500kms pussy footing So around 355L of fuel or around 5 fill ups?
If I win can you send me up a Mays Pie??

My licence wouldn't last long if I was driving with a 250Km/tank level of enthusiasm!
Mostly I was driving in such a way as to achieve reasonable distance/fuel/time efficiency (anyone want to come up with an equation for that?) - cruising at semi-legal speeds but carrying plenty through the corners and not hanging about when overtaking. Of course I couldn't stop myself playing on the fun bits though, and there are quite a lot of those en route...
I'll wait for a few more guesses before giving too much away though...

I'd say you used more than you hoped but less than you expected
And the pics are . . .
Very good and quite accurate really. Photos are waiting for me to start processing when I get home from work, snapped about 1700 so I'll be a busy boy the next few nights. Sorry I didn't catch up with you on Sunday, things got a tad hectic for a while there. And the pics are . . .
