Hi James,

Let me at those roads. been to NZ four times and can't wait to go back. Love the place. Especially Couplands Pies, Coconut Rough, Tip-Top Lime thick shakes from the dairies.

Would bring my cars with me (prob to south island)

Pete
Need a driver? My wife has a cousin and best friend who moved to NZ a couple of years ago so would have accomadation sorted

Don't deport me yet delboy! Crikey, talk about making me feel unwanted. I have family there, but would be happy to let them drive a car in exchange for the NZ foodstuffs listed above.

If you've never been there, you must go. With your photographic eye, you'd love it. Amazing, layed back, friendly, fun, beautiful place. (just a long way away)

Does anyone in NZ wanna send me a bar of coconut rough, chocolate anzacs and tin of L&P?
Just got me thinking, perhaps? There's also Coupland steak pies, tip-top lime thickshakes?

Surely can't someone just buddle this lot up and send it to the UK? Be quick, I'm so hungry. wink

How can anyone live in NZ and stay out of a Couplands Bakery? I'd move in.

Pete

I'll PM it but keep the coupland's steak pie hush hush (have smuggled them in before). God I feel hungry now.

I have 1 can of L&P that I couldn't bring myself to open for sentimental reasons. In the old yellow tin. It's 10 years out of date and pride of place in the fridge still.

Sad eh?

This place keeps my beer fridge full of the good stuff (Speights and Monteiths) and helps hold off the cravings for food snacks until my next trip home.

Don't think they do pies though frown

Agree Monteiths Craft beer range is delish. Youll see Summer Ale in mine smile

Couplands Bakery in Timaru been there bought pies, notice the stores are only in the southisland biggrin

Hey the Timaru Mays pie, anyone know it here? http://maysbakery.co.nz/
You can even buy the pie T-shirt hehe
And I can honestly say they are delicious. one of those and a panadol will promise to cure a hangover! You will know if you have had one in the pic on the website they have a unique woven rim edge on the top and the colour is more yellowish rather than pale. I have one every trip back home. Mum has them ready for us girlies (sisters that is)!

Oh yes yes (Being an ex-Timaru boy and all that)

But I must say the best pies I've had (and I've had a lot of pies!) come from the Arrowtown bakery lick

Monteiths or Macs, tough decision...

Kylie,

Have I died and gone to heaven?
Pies-Cars-L&P. I'm seriously there. This is worth having a heart attack for. In fact, if you don't, then you're not trying hard enough!
If I bring all 3 of my lambos, can I east 3 times as many pies?
Here they are by the way at a meet last week.

Pete, lovely toy. Really I would even give up some garage space if one of those come to stay biggrin Anyway something to think about.

I know Club Lotus NZ are planning to do another track tour of NZ next year, could easy tag along their route to be amoungst some nice machinery. Of course while they are at the track were off sniffing out pies and rehydrating with L&P hehe
