Not so stunning at the moment... and there's nerry a hope in hell it'll be back in one piece before Christmas and not much more likelihood that it'll be finished by the time Winter swings around again... so much more to do.

weeping Nooooooooooo . . .

Was hoping to trail you around Hampton Downs on one of the first trackdays cry

headache I've discovered that 20-25 hotlaps with slicks and the extra weight of a passenger has almost completely torn off one the steering mounts. Probably only a couple of quick right-handers from losing the steering. yikes

Thankfully I'd noticed in the last session what I thought was the left front going out of alignment so had buttoned off, toddled back to the pits and trailered up.

Now it's a race to fabricate stronger components before two trackdays I'm booked into in October.

Also might need to draft a note to the Westfield factory . . .

Oh I'll be at the first Hampton Downs trackday for sure, but I'll probably be there in the SpaceWagon.

I'm myself contacting Lotus re getting them to help repairing some damage I've discovered as it appears to be a warranty issue.

Damage isn't bad, I can repair it myself, but I may have uncovered a wider spread problem not just suffered by my car, so I'm letting Lotus have a look before saying too much. It's not an issue you'd discover unless your car's stripped to the same degree as mine. It looks like a very very minor problem in mine, but if it's symptomatic of something worse it could have greater problems for other cars out there.

Either way it's a hold-up for me for a few weeks at the very least as I need to communicate with Lotus about what I've found and how to best rectify it.

In which case you won't mind if I overtake as the Westie should be able to circulate a fraction faster than the mighty SpaceWagon. tongue out
