CLNZ are organising a fun run through the North West and ending up at Murawai Beach - Gannet Colony. As per other Lotus runs they dont mind well behaved Phers joining in on the fun wink Dust off the P&J we could probably use some more numbers to make it a good day. If the weather is rubbish I wont be there otherwise its business as usual biggrin

Be at the North Harbour Stadium at or before 10.30 am pls.

You should.. makes for some great conversation. I had a nice old gentleman approach me at Westgate shopping centre the other week (not the trench coat variety hehe) he must have been sitting in his car and facing the rear end my green machine. I came back to my car and he started prattling on about how he used to own a white S4 Loti 7 and did I know of it. blablabyebye Well there are a quite a few white S4's about.

I had only met Wayne a couple of times but he was good mates with Phil who is in that club and is also building an ultralight. Phil's coming up from Rangiora so I'll be trucking him around a bit.

If he heads back on Saturday night I might be in for a run driving

Oh well only a handful of die hards turned up today. With intermittent rain the plan was to go to the stadium carpark for a catch up and then go home if the weather persisted to be wet! Big tires in the wet with lots of grunt aint much fun so learning to keep the turbos off boost and under 3k rpm was my personal challenge for today hehe Ive never done this before bandit. Naturally got talked out of going home by the others and decided a change of plan. Got through some nice twisties over Albany then our leader did the right thing by pulling up for a wet road review. One of our members cars nearly got rear ended by the other in a full skid past him yikes so we decided to take the straight roads through to the west coast beach. Lattes, flat whites, nice hot food and run banter was all good at the local cafe there. No piccies sorry.

Would have been a good day for a double latté. coffee

Looked out the window at the rain at 9:00am and decided to keep the high-speed bathtub at home.

Have put the road tyres on the Westfield. That should guarantee fine weather for the Trackday on monday week tongue out

Sounds like fun. I was going to come, but when I saw the weather, I decided it wouldn't be much fun... especially sans-Lotus.

hehe

Roads were real greasy and slippery in town too (snow was just up on the hills), had a few moments playing silly buggers and getting a good deal more crossed up than intended. Nothing unrecoverable though tongue out

Shore St for those of you who know Dunedinwink
