Anyone done the Tar Hill Sprint / Hillclimb just south of Tokoroa?

It's on 30 Sept and Maurice is threatening to send me a pink handbag complete with a little rat of a dog if I don't enter. hehe

For that matter has anyone even driven 'normally' up that road?

No, but we Do have a very small dog. I'm not sure how many real dog genes it has. I think it's actually some kind of aphid. Oh, and I 've made a business goal for December and, perhaps unwisely, announced that if I don't achieve it, I'll be walking down Ponsy Road in high heels. If that happens, can I borrow your handbag? (or would it clash with my shoes?)

Not sure. I'm going to be up to my neck organising a conference between now & then (and Halo 3 is out on the 25th hehe ) and I don't have a motorsport licence yet.

New wheels & rubber arrive around the same time (thanks George thumbup ) but I'm told they're not acceptable for the Hillclimb. Not sure about running my existing CR500's

Just got back and drying out.

Had a great time biggrin Don't have the detailed results yet but apparently I won my class woohoo

Tar Hill is a great course but could do with a little working-bee to clear back some of the undergrowth that is starting to get a bit close.

The showers made it a little bit slippery so the priority was to stay away from the trees.

As it's my first timed hillclimb I'll post up the results when I get them. smile

As for my driving . . .

"Why were you lifting? I could hear you lift on that bend before the final climb. You should be flat-out there"

HAhahah wink

Will txt you tomorrow once I know what's happening about the shipment... hopefully customs will have removed the several digits they had stuffed up their rectum on Friday and actually signed off my paperwork.

Now I just have to hope they've forgotten to look at all the cocaine I've stashed inside wink
