Am feeling down and out about this. The day has finally come, I have been talking about this for ages about this day - I feel sick in the stomach frown

I cant afford to have two toys on the go and I dont think a second garage will be built anytime soon. I really hate the way I am feeling right now. We went out last night and I drownd my sorrows with some friends, but hasnt changed the way I feel today.

Anyway theres not much else I can say but what is keeping me sane is thinking about its replacement ideacool which is keeping my chin up.

So put some nice comments on my auction will ya smile I already have over 20 watchers from listing it yesterday, so should be intersting over the next two weeks to see what develops.

Kylie,

Of all the people on here, I probably know how you're feeling more than most given my current predicament. Black Beauty has been good to you as you have to her (or him!), but we all have to rationalise and I know you've had your heart set on a V8 for some time (as have I!) and it doesn't make sense to keep both, just as I couldn't rationalise having both an Elise and an Exige (as nice as that would be it's not financially realistic, and I don't have the space).

I hope the sale goes well and it's sad that you're going to have to wait for so long to replace it. Is there any way you gan get yourself into a V8 sooner? That yellow one at Greenlane has been there for so long I'd have thought that they'd be begging you to take it ASAP... surely they can do you some very favourable terms that will get you behind the wheel sooner?

Keep us all posted with progress! smile

And chin up, it's not the end of an era, merely a natural progression.

A nervewracking time for sure.... it's hard to gauge genuine interest until the auction ends... mine had 160 watchers at one point I think, 158 of them weren't genuine.

Hehe I could set up a whole bakery using TradeMe. Just brought some bread display rack in Auckland for $20 each. New they would be over $600 each. Some things are cars I dream about. Other stuff I watch so I learn the market price for when I am ready to buy. A few things I actually buy.

Don't be sad Kylie.... it's a time of joy.. your car will be going to someone else who obviously loves it as much as you have... these cars don't tend to go to people who do otherwise.... and the sooner Black Beauty finds a new stable... Yellow Beauty will become a reality.... keep us posted! smile

Have looked at that one and another but bi jesus this one is cheap. But theres usually a reason why. I am thinking cause of the high miles and the PUK chip upgrade to 500bhp probably has stressed everything esp the box. Probably not in the best overal condition hard to tell by pics I guess. would be an expensive fix if something went. The rear lights have also been replaced with clear ones. Not bothered by the lights can be changed back to original.
Theres another for sale at 26 thou which has lower mileage and upgraded rear lights. While one of these cars is the holey grail for all esprits they drive like an XTR2 for firmness (from what I am told anyway), so long haul trips are rough on the butt and back. Ground clearance is also an issue at the front but I could deal with that.

All Esprits from 2000+ just works and goes so much better. So I got a lot to think about. smile

Congratulations.

Make sure you get some final 'graduation' photos of it before it goes. teacher

Some of my cars I didn't get photos in the last 6-8 months and it's not quite the same.
