Workshop/mechanic in Wellington - Lotus
Discussion
Hello,
Grateful for any advice anyone could give me? Looking for someone who knows their way around an old Lotus Elan +2, in the Welington region. Either a Lotus specialist or an old-style engineer/mechanic?
Powerhaus has been suggested to me by my power-mad brnther-in-law. Recommended?
Mostly because I'm an old-style bodger, and simply don't have the resources or time to maintain the car myself
Regards
Glenn

I agree with Esprit.
Powerhaus is a very reputable shop. I've had all my Porsches serviced there. Last bill was $60 per hour IIRC. Jon Pottinger the owner is a nice guy and knows his stuff. Pop by sometime and just sus him out maybe. They have all sorts of stuff through there...Lamborghini, Porsche, Lotus, RR, Jags etc and have a pretty clever bunch of guys and I think one guy that is dedicated to Restorations. You can tell him James from Otaki sent you and you wanted to have a chat and see if he's is interested in looking after the Lotus and is confident they know the model well. That's what I'd do.
