British Racing Green - early '60s Jaguar (there's about 50 shades of BRG actually)

Yeah, but if you wipe all the oil off you'll find there's only one BRG hehe

Cobalt Blue I think would be my favourite colour.

Here's Gulf Blue for you.

I have to agree, Cobalt Blue is one of my all-time favourites.

I'm not sure about that CGT though, this is the only car that should ever be in Gulf Blue wink

I also like really like Candy Red, although I'm not sure if that's the real name. It's that deep, metallic red that Mitsi have used on the show versions of the new Evo:

Damn right on that red. I tend to think that if you need something else to oppose that Gulf blue for it to really work as a colour. Like the classic Lotus 49’s “Gold leaf” colours:

I tend to think that colour is really car specific really depending on the design, shape, light refractive properties of the paint etc. I for one welcome some of the new “matt” finishes being used aftermarket, it can work really well along with a traditional gloss as a two tone (or indeed so can raw materials like the Pagani Zonda with its carbon skirt etc. and the rest being silver). Generally IMO for cars with deep body contours or large air intakes it’s better to stay away from darker colours and excessively glossy finishes because it looks a bit confused. One car that can carry off even black well though:
