Hey guys, I take my hat off to you lot. After taking Tonys yellow 111R for a blat with the Exige sports exhaust on it, it sure changed my opinion about the little rockets. Have driven S1&S2 <160bhp cars but the 111R is quite nice. Infact it stuffed up the rest of my day. banghead Never ever drive a car that you think you might like to buy but you cant cause you dont need it!!! I go home look on trademe and PH for pricing and work out a plan to get one Lol!! I worked out I need two sports cars now. An Elise for throwing about town and doing track days, then the Esprit for weekend touring and making those appearances . The two have their pros and cons. Anyway back to work! hehe

Jim's indeed selling his... only 1200km on the clock... it's not even run in yet! Never been over 4000RPM!.

Seriously though, I'd not bother with a 111R, not worth the extra price... bit more comfort and a few more toys than an S1, but if you drive a non-porky S1, you'll feel how overweight the poor old 111R really is.

Mind you... Tony's car does look the bollox in the Yellow

Is this one of the turbo conversions with a reputation for repeatedly blowing up?

Your not asking for much mate!! Get a 5 acre block and start building till ya get the 10 car garage. Ok so it might only have two cars in it for a start, but its a 10 car garage!!

eek Didn't realise it was that many! Its more the opposite cause actually, I spend so much time sitting in front of computers trying to make myself do assignments that I inevitable distract myself on here...

(For example, right now I'm supposed to be researching an essay into Airborne LIDAR surveys and laser scanning. Either that or writing a report on a prac we did recently, height transfer across the harbour for tide gauges. )

That's the one.... and they STILL don't deliver the numbers a simple bolt-in Honda conversion does like Ian's car or Dean's old one.... the 'Yota lump just doesn't enjoy boost without MAJOR work.

So when are you and Dean presenting your AMG/Brabus-esque business plan to the Lotus directors?

There's $ and £ to be made in performance like that. thumbup

NA is really the way to go with a car like the Elise anyway, though people seem pretty happy with the supercharged Exiges too.
