Paypal adding funds???????

Ive opened a paypal account,when I want to add funds it comes up with "coming from an American account"Ive searched and found you can add funds from Ausie,UK etc,but not NZ accounts.
Why can't I just do a Visa number!All i want to do is pay a for a bloody 5 pound part on EBAY!
Can anyone help?

Doesn't sound right at all - i've used paypal to purchase things from the USA and had no problems at all. Perhaps an email to the techie department is in order?

It's not the using the paypal account to purchase things that's the problem it's how to top it up from NZ. Baffles me as well. I've ended up leaving a reasonable float in the account from paymnets. Not a good thing as I've had my Ebay account messages hijacked, I'm sure I'll check one day and find a stripped Paypal account.

I've used paypal via Ebay before with 2 separate NZ visa cards.. never had a problem.

Thats if they have the facility,have you tried to remit funds in your own Paypal account,would be so much easier if I could top up with a Visa.
