Anyone heading along? SSE (www.southernslykines.com) is cruising along to the event and about four guys are racing i think (three turbo Nissan Cefiro's and on R32 GT-R).

Piffft. Is there going to be a circuit sprint around the port area like last year? I work Sundays now so won't be able to go to it if it is on a Sunday.

Yes it's big. The Japanese import turbo scene is much bigger than anything else.

Hopefully someone else can give you the "Good" site links . . . otherwise I can give you the rubbish ones

Thats cool, do you have all the top fuel etc etc, we run in a sportsman class in England, in a class called Super Gas, we run a 1969 Chevy Camaro, runs the 1/4 in 8.81 @ 150+ mph, not sure what that is in KPH. Would love to come out and race!

Don't know if theres much in the way of Top-Fuel cars, plenty of funny cars, production based machines etc. One of the teams from here runs the quickest Skyline GTR in the world, 7.59 @ 190mph

More into rallying than drags myself, but heres a few websites I found:

www.nzdra.co.nz/ (New Zealand Drag Racing Association)

www.kiwidragracing.com/

www.dragwars.co.nz/classes.htm

www.dragpixs.co.nz/

Email me or message me Collin, i was in NZ last year and saw soem good racing, even missed the Thunderball last year.

There is a few Nitro FC's there and a couple of TF cars.

There is a stunning Nostalgia FC there too.

Graeme Allen with his SG Maverick now lives in New Zealand and races there.

Unless your a passenger in a Viper Venom!hehe

The 2005 event was just great, even came away with a few prizes and 5th overall. All credit to the nuters in the T-Buckets....10.8 at 140 mph! eek I think Venom managed 12.1 at 126mph if my memory is correct. I still have fond memories of Lawrence cry Hope it stays dry for you guys.
