Thanks mate, Yeah that's the plan, hoping to bring it out there in the next year or so and while I'm there drop it off at RIPS in Rotorua for another RB30 engine and 700bhp or so Was hoping to stay for a while and maybe register the car over there but I guess that looks like it might not be possible now.

The details the IMVDA have mentioned might be a bit misleading, but it's good to get the issue some publicity.
The government has made an announcement that they want to improve the emissions of vehicles entering the fleet. To do this they want vehicles to meet certain standards - the first would be to limit cars to Japan 2000 emissions standards or better - approximately restricting cars that come from Japan to newer than year 2000. This could take effect in 2008, then after that the bar is raised to tougher emissions regulations so by 2012 the approximate age limit for imports would be about 4 years.
This is similar to what happened when the frontal impact Rule came in, it effectively stopped pre-1996 cars entering. I think the used car industry moaned back then that the world would end for them, but it didn't, they just adapted, as did their customers.

The only information you would need verified is that production volume of less than 200 - but that could be a bit tricky now that there's nobody in Blackpool to ask. If that could be confirmed then it just needs to be certified as a low volume vehicle by LVVTA, like a Westfield or Ariel is.

I recently read that Noble were now manufacturing in volumes over 200 per year - which would suggest you can no longer bring in Nobles under the LVV scheme. Which would really annoy me if I'd built a business around it...
