Happened to run into this while wasting time surfing the net today:

Its a nicely prepped lightweight BMW 320 (E36) coupe - with a 550bhp Judd V8 transplanted into it. The guy can drive a bit too, 03/04 FIA Hillclimb champion. Car goes like stink and sounds
Anyway, it got me thinking... (always dangerous I know)
What sort of money would one of the BMW 320s from the old NZ 2.0 touring car class be worth these days? And how much would it cost to get it road-legal enough for hillclimbs, Targa etc? Could keep the 2.0 race motor or go nuts with a transplant of some sort - I imagine that Judd setup would be worth a packet, but I've also seen a 320 with a 500+bhp RB26DETT dropped in it which looked a good fit.
Not that I could afford that sort of tomfoolery, but speculation over that lotto win always helps pass the time, and its been pretty quiet in here lately.
