Number stamps for vintage race car parts Why needed

I've been approached to make some stamps for vintage racing car parts. R5 in a hexagon R10 in a hexagon both tiny say 5mm across and AR the the angled leg of the R extended into a circle that encloses the AR. about 20mm diameter. The carrot to me and my business www.cncprototyping.co.nz is the promise of lots more work and I can handle this job no problem. Just wondering if what these stamps might be for.

Turns out they are for an Alfa Romeo replica (AR doh!)
