Exotic hire company ?

We are visiting NZ over Christmas, (my g/f comes from nz) - are there any reputable exotic hire companies to recommend ?

We used www.smartcars.co.nz (AKL based) to rent a Boxster for a corporate golf competition - good bunch of guys & the car was only 6 months old. There's also www.drivenewzealand.co.nz/ourcars. which may be worth a try?

In Christchurch is Southern Classic Car Rentals with cars such as DB7, Bentley, Hummer. I can't say if they're any good as I've never used them.

Jonny I'm using www.smartcars.co.nz porsche boxster for when I'm home this Christmas. Seemed good serive and all arranged via email.

Re the boxster..If you dont mind me asking what will that cost for a few days and what will they charge if you go over the km limit? We got stung with this after hiring a Audi TT Mind you every extra $$ was worth it

A mate of mine hired a boxster for his birthday on Thursday. Cost him basically $600 plus 60 cents a km above the first 100km.

Yep I think it was NZD650 a day + GST (VAT) but I negotiated them down as Im hiring it for a week.
