Club Lotus NZ 2008 Dates

Hi there,

work continues on NZ2008, the Se7ens.Net group coming from the UK and Oz to drive Se7ens around NZ. I've had some great recce notes passed to me from Andrew P***ce on AussieElises for the South Island as I emailed Kaspa about earlier. I am now working on the North Island route, so SWMBO and i can come in February 2007 for the recce.

I recall that Club Lotus NZ was interested in timing 1-2 track days with our group, as well as we wanted to invite as many NZ Se7ens as possible to join us.

We're about to "lock" the dates, which are hovering between starting 28/Jan/08 and 5/Feb/08. Ending would be 22 days later, so either 18/Feb or 27/Feb.

How do we get to CL NZ to start "locking in" possible meet dates, as well as a track day?

You say the SI is all sorted?

I'd just like to recomment 2 routes if you havent got them in there already.

Queenstown to Wanaka via Crown Range Road

Christchurch to Kaikoura via Inland Kaikoura Road.

very nice, lots of twisties and usualy less populated than the main roads.

Just do the Targa route around N island... covered a lot of excelent quiet roads and some top scenery. Fine in a 7, except for a couple of gravel sections that are easily evoided.
