yes Uni weather station reckons Dunedin got 29.3° today, felt like more than that though - had the curtains shut most of the day trying to keep the sun out, and the heatpump going full-bore in reverse.

Too hot to do anything except sit round playing with cars on the xbox. How tragic.

Funny you mention that, the teacher in one of the classrooms with roof blown off was known as Fred Winfield instead of Windsor, due to his many-packs-per-day habit. He used to get gradually more agitated, then disappear into the corridor out back every 15 minutes or so and come back all calm again and stinking of smoke...

Roof never blew off while I was there though, must be those new 'renovations' they had last year.

Wheel and pedals yes

Mostly playing Forza Motorsport, which has many real tracks including the 'Ring, an excellent car selection (anything from 240ZX to Elise to Koenigsegg to Porsche 962C to Audi R8), some of the most realistic car handling physics I've found in a game (well ahead of GT4 IMO), and lets you modify cars to relatively stupid levels if it takes your fancy. (Like a '73 911RS with a 996-GT2 motor tuned to 800bhp squeezed into it - pretty much undriveable though). Plenty of classics as well as modern road and race cars, and once you 'buy' more suspension bits for your cars you can play around adjusting the setup too.

Gets the thumbupthumbupthumbup award from me anyway.

McRae Rally 05 is also fun, but starts to feel a bit arcadey after a while, might have to splash out and buy Richard Burns Rally at some stage, which is considered to be the most accurate rally sim bar none.
