Do performance cars vary from one day to the next? Or is it just me? hehe

It can seem to variously affect power, acceleration, handling, ride comfort, braking . . .

I'm not taking huge differences but enough to make me wonder whether it's me or the car that's out of sorts.

yeah.... it's perception usually... after 2 weeks in the spacewagon, a drive in the Lotus feels like she's got 400bhp.... but once you're used to it (or on track) it feels like the 30 or 40bhp it really has

Agreed to perception. I guess on the hand when thoughts are seemed under control theres the real stuff like wear and tear. Cars that have been tracked or driven really hard will always have some issues. And older cars like mine are always prone to things needing replacing ever other day. So I am always thinking whats f**ked now when something dosent sound right or a little sluggish!! I start going through my head when I checked the plugs last, hoses all well connected, check turbos boosting typically to correct bar, fuel - too much!!

OK, it's probably all in my head

Here's something that isn't. We raised the ride height a little more and I can now get over the speed humps in The Domain.

It's now going to be my compulsory route driving when off to conduct quality assurance on the espresso at my sister's Deli hehe

Great news mate, means that you can go on more drives and not have to worry too much. Got to be honest, I havent tried those huge humps at the domain. So when and wheres the next Phers drive? Or shall we wait till it feels a bit more like summer..?

I wanna go fo a drive this afternoon... now that the rain's gone and it's actually semi-sunny... noone to join me though, might just go out for a bit of a cruise to keep her oiled up.

I'm just talking about the 3 on the road out to Park Rd.
Are there worse ones in there? yikes

The temperature's OK now as long as it's not raining. Sunday afternoons north of Orewa are an invitation to do 100 hill-starts and 15km in 1st gear. So I'd suggest either a Saturday or something other than north-nor-east.

The entrance to the domain by the Hospital you go down that road all straight and theres some pearlers before you turn left down the winding rd (where they do the annual hill climb)towards the tennis stadium.

Yep, that's that Park Rd entrance. I can get over those, with a bit of a scrape, at about 2 kph.

The Deli's only open 5-days, so unfortunately I can't offer the early arrivals at the next PH-run an espresso.
Or a Chai Latté
