We have a view of the Remarkables from our place in QT. As I write this, of what I can see (probably about an 8km stretch of it) about one quarter of it is an enormous fire. Never seen anything like it in my life. Glad there is a river and big *****g lake between us and it!!!!

yikes It's very early in the season. Has it been dry down there?

Is it bright enough to get a photo?

Yeah - a burn off. Something new I have learned down here. As opposed to burn out, or blow off :-)

There's a big, big, big black patch on the side of the mountains this morning!!!!

I bet they have some decent pics in the paper and on the news!!!
