New track config for Puke
Discussion
Damn, well there goes my technique of just planting the boot out of the hairpin and not lifting until the esses!.... Personally I've never found the hill a problem, although not getting the line just right, can throw you into the bumps and things get a little bumpy. The trick is to keep the power on
Will be interesting to see if this is more than just a rumour.

Seriously !?!?!
Not even the bend off the end of the front straight?
In general terms I find Puke a bit too bumpy (for a gross amateur) which would be fine except I'm no good at remembering where they are . . . and then you take a slightly different line and there's a whole new set of bumps.

how does it go............you only have enough power when you can lay rubber all the way from the turn on to the longest sraight, all the way to the brake point..........
"It will never have enough power until I can spin the wheels at the end
of the straightaway in high gear" - Mark Donohue talking about the can-am Porsche 917.
Kylie,
I seem to remember Walter Rorhl and Stig Blomvqist saying about the Audi Quattro S1 that, even on tarmac the power was now too much... whatever gear you were in, the wheels (all four) would just light up and break traction.
It's FANTASTIC in all the old group-b tarmac rally footage when you see the cars get up on boost about halfway down the straight then they start painting some really thick black lines on the road.

Like this one - Stig Blomqvist's Pikes Peak RS200 Evo
840 bhp, 920 kg - did 0-140 mph in 6.0 sec and 200 yards when testing at 80% boost!(@ 680bhp)
Not exactly slow...

My mate Phil, who looks after the Westie for me, built these in the UK for Ford.
Rules? What rules?
He also tells a story about being told by a prize tt . . .
Tt "Look a RS2000 !!!"
Phil "It's a 200"
Tt "No, it's a 2 litre"

A tt on more than one level - not only the obvious name thing, but they were never a 2.0 anyway ! 1.8 in the earlier ones, and 2.1 in the Evolution versions.

However, do you take a riot-shield with you to watch rallycars from the outside of bends?
That's what girlfriends are for..... gravel-shields
