Weather forecast is great and its an open test day on saturday - theres no drift sessions cos they've got a track inspection coming up. Great chance to get a bit of sneaky practice in before the 13th.

If you do come out, come and say gidday - one could be considered remiss if they didn't bring their helmet

Well, you missed a cracker - 86 recorded laps and 90 odd litres of 98 well and truely processed. There were nly 2 sessions due to the low numbers - 1 for cars (about a dozen) and one for bikes so not much traffic and heaps of tracktime.

Some interesting machines out circulating - Elise 135, Corvette C5, Bentley Continemtal road cars, Porsche 996 Turbo, a 964 Cup car, Dodsons Skyline and a Maserati Trofeo Targa car - nice.

You were told

I spent a frustrating day trying (in vain) to set up the Elise rear end.... I've got all sorts of funny squiggly graph lines now that look NOTHING like they should.

The 135 Elise musta been YiMing... glad to see he's back in action

I spotted a Silver S1 Elise leaving Puke today - didn't get to the track myself. Anyone on here?

Following on from the Pistonheads gathering thread, I'm planning one once I get my car back in the next couple of weeks. Will involve a backroads run down to Raglan and back to my place for a BBQ and maybe a PH movie on my big screen. Will start a new thread once dates get sorted.

As it was in Holland.

Maybe I should have gone to Pukekohe on Saturday . . . would have been better than getting rear-ended in the Westie

Now I need to find replacement tail lights no idea what they are . . .

Just what I was wondering...

...But you put it so much more eloquently than i could have!

seriously, did they have their eyes shut or something? or was it so low they couldn't see it in front of the remuera tractor?

If they were in a Remuera tractor they wouldn't have een known they'd hit anything until they were at the cockpit going forward.

You may recall in a recent thread I said:
. . . I'd have a stroke if someone drove off in my Westie . . . even if I'd given them permission.

Well . . . someone else was driving Never again !!!

Actually it wasn't his fault.

Could have happened to anyone (Probably even more likely if I was driving). Gave it a 'bit' of a rev and moved forward at an intersection. Wagon behind assumed that was a take-off and moved further forward while looking to the right.

Thanks guys.

It's just lights, reflectors, paint, rear diffuser (ply ) and a bit if wing.

Had great fun on Saturday night picking up a pizza for the Test-match. The 'launch' out of the carpark was essential to guarantee the pizza was still hot when I got home.
