Se7ens in NZ in early 2008
Discussion
Hi --
just a short note to let you know we are very much full steam ahead with bringing about a dozen EU and 1/2 dozen US Se7ens to NZ in 2008. i know that there's a lot to do still, but having run the mega-oversubscribed USA2005, i'm crazy enough to be doing it again.
folks had asked for dates for us, so you could plan us onto diaries, etc for 2008. been a bit of a gap as i'm now living in Sydney(and my Caterham SV-VHPD will be here to me in 3 weeks) but work has been progressing in the background whilst i've been semi-offline.
as it stands today, the EU cars will leave the UK on 27.12.07 and arrive to Auckland 07.2.08
as it stands today, the US cars will leave California on 15.1.08 and arrive to Auckland 05.2.08
most everyone that is flying in will arrive on 11.2.08 and the event will start on 12.2.08
so i know there's tons of work there to get us onto diaries, and local Lotus Club track days in planning, etc, but we're planning 20 days driving/sightseeing, etc and you'll not want to miss this. please if you are a local coordinator plan us onto your diaries now so there's a placeholder for 2008, and i'll be updating as we can.

Steve-B... best way to handle this will be to talk to the president or committee of CLNZ directly. Then "official" events can be organised. www.clublotus.org.nz has the contacct details If you have any troubles, PM me and I'll relay the messages directly
Hi Ian --
Yes i am the one and the same, my container with our household goods and our beloved Caterham SV-VHPD arrived to the docks in Sydney yesterday. I've been following your antics with Ashton (my neighbour) and others in the Aussielises forum.
As for NZ, yes we're coming, and yes if there's other contacts, please post/email/PM to me so i can get us onto the diaries guys!

Anyway I'm a relative newcomer to the NZ scene, but there seems to be a good bunch of people right here. I was very happy with the company I used to get the car from L.A to N.Z. So happy I've used them again for business related shipping since then. Good prices and the company is headed by a bit of a petrol head. Let me know if you want any details - they can handle the UK end as well as the US.
