Ok guys.... in lieu of us not having had a run for a while, and also due to the fact that we've been slack in organising a proper one, is anyone keen for a bit of a meet up on Sunday? It's short notice but the TVR club are having their monthly meeting and countryside drive this sunday, to which I often tag along. Jim's said anyone who wishes can turn up in whatever

We meet at a cafe for brunch in Greenlane near Alexandra park at about 10:30 or so before going out for a couple of hours drive on some nice twisty roads to places we just decide on over brunch.

To save hassle of giving out directions to the cafe, I say any of you who want to join us meet up at the Greenlane McDonalds parking lot near the drive-thru.... I'll be waiting there from between about 9:30-10:15 in the Elise (if dry) and the GTi-6 if horrendously wet. If any of you can't make it that early, the cafe we meet at is the "Ark Cafe" on Manukau Road, just across the road from the BK. We're usually there until just before noon when we'll head out on our blat.

Sorry about the short notice, this isn't a properly organised thing, just notice that I'll be meeting up with a few PistonHead types and you're all wlecome to join in the fun if you wish.... if you've got mates, bring them along Any questions, just post 'em up here and I'll get back to you pronto

Sounds like a good plan George. Brunch and a brisk drive . . . two of my favourite things

Unfortunately my lungs seem to be protesting my impending quasi-retirement and I'm hacking like a 3 pack-per-day veteran.

Oh that's no good... I had a chest infection a month or more ago and I've still not gotten over it.... it keeps coming back to haunt me.... I swear the bugs this year are nastier... Anyway, if you feel better then come along.... most welcome

And Roger... that's no good... mind you, if you do have the free time you can always pring the family wagon

No idea at the moment.... it's reallt informal and we usually just end up deciding on the day.... just depends where everyone feels like going. I know the TVR guys are looking for a photo-spot as they're being featured in an upcoming NZCC magazine and need to figure out where the photoshoot will take place.

I wonder if the ranger at Wenderholm would let the Trevors in through the gates for a photoshoot under the trees?

Many years ago we saw some american classics being photographed there.

And I can't get the Westie over the speed bumps at the entrance

I did go (I was the only PHer tht went). Spent the afternoon chasing Griffiths down around Waiuku way. Day went well until the drive home where we got caught (rather badly) in a cloudburst with the roof down while Kelly was driving.... The rain was stinging her eyes as she was driving (only the second time she'd ever driven the Lotus!) But in the end we found a forecourt on which to put the roof up..... and of course the cloudburst then stopped :P It's always the bloody way innit?

And yes.... I'll be there on the 21st... must get my entry form off.... hope to drad my car (pun intended) kicking and screaming into the mid-high 13-second bracket.... I've run a 14 flat but with less power and grip than I do now
