This one should be 4,999. So the next one will be post 5,000 on the PH NZ Forum.

Who will win the fame, the fortune, the admiration of all other PHers . . . and shout the rest of us

Somehow I think it should really be either George or Kylie . . . but they're each on holiday . . . so who will it be ? ! ?

LOL...Ya just a bunch of old gass hags the lot of ya! A dam fine effort and on to the next 5000 I say!

On Mums dial-up down south, shes a bit slow going sifting through topics, but great to check in and say hi!

Dad took me fly fishing on Opihi River today (30mins drive from Timaru) for a stunning walk, no I dont fish just like keeping dad company. Quite a few river crossings, battered shins, sun burn and a four pound trout for dinner was quite the reward I was looking for. God life is sweet down here. I love the easy pace and the people are dam friendly. The Loti would love these empty roads too. Movin home in 10yrs may be on the cards me thinks. Mmmmm now to con Simon a tough task..

So will you be building an art-studio or taking the canvas out on the road ?

haha crossing the Opihi eh, gave my old Leone a good drowning doing that once - up to the windows, oops. I was quoted for quite some time after that as saying "but it didnt look that deep!" really it didn't, the weed across the top was quite deceptive. really. :P

still, mate towed me home, took the seats/carpet out to dry for a week or 2 in the sun, took plugs out and watched water squirt out the holes as we cranked it over, about a bucket came out the exhaust, changed oils/filters etc, ran a bit rough for the first few hours driving time, but fine after that (well about as fine as it ever did).

the things you learn eh...

Home based art studio would be on the cards the roads do make great canvases for the loti to leave skids on them too. so yes a bit of both.

poor car its amazing that it still went!

We just parked up and walked for the exercise and fresh air. Plenty of places to safely cross like knee/thigh high. Theres not much water in there at the moment, shes fairly dry. Walked past a few diesel pumps going flat out sucking the river dry. We were tempted to turn them off. Makes me angry. Oh yeah no didimo where we were, but washed the shoes and everything when we got home just in case
