No I don't mean "a sustained loss of traction" . . . sort of.

What do you think of these -

Seatbelt thingie

What do you think LTNZ would say? A bit like a cage, harness or wearing a helmet "It's illegal as it will encourage you to speed / race"

Article says:

"The CG-Lock has been crash-tested and shown not to interfere with the safety of the factory-fitted seat belt (with or without a pre-tensioner)."

Should be absolutely fine in that case.

Can't see why they'd be illegal... you could remove them easily for WOF anyway, clip 'em back on when the time comes... I defy any copper to pull you up on them too.... not so they'd notice.

Might invalidate your insurance in the unfortunate event of an accident.

But the real question is . . . would you have one ?

Probably yes.... unless I can convince Dean to sell me his seats, harness bar and harnesses (or maybe the whole car) :P

Mate I'll sell you the seats, harnesses, bar etc............pretty expensive, BUT good thing, for that huge price they do come with a free car !!

These things are a bit of a gimick ? went has your lap belt held you in better ??

It may snug you better in a ding, but during driving ?? not sure......

The ultimate would be a harness with "inertia" top straps like in the McLaren F1 road car....aaarrhhh car heaven...............(floats off to sleep dreaming of an American Lotto......)
