Would any of you be interested in getting the word out about this place by putting your cars on display and watching heaps of classic and modern cars racing around the worlds third oldest street race, at the Southern Festival of Speed street race in Dunedin?

It will be either on the 25th or 26th of February (whatever day is the Sunday) and goes from about 9am to 4pm or so.

Here's how it went this year for our car club: http://southernskylines.com/forum/vie and http://southernskylines.com/forum/vie

As i'm seemingly now one of the organisers' 2IC, i'm trying to get as many car clubs along to this as possible - New Zealand should be proud that we have the third longest running street race in the world (after Monaco and Macau (sp?) i think)!

Well I should be there

That weekend was the end of O Week this year, so figuring similiar timing next year the students will mostly be back. I have to edmit I actually preferred Dunedin over summer when most of the students were away. it was just so much cleaner, quieter, more relaxed, and did I mention cleaner? glass on the roads is shocking in the student areas, especially on a bike.

But yeah the S.F.O.S is excellent, twould be good to see a few more of you northern jokers coming down for it.
