So what's with Tunnel Runs ? The engine note orchestra or a mass demonstration of civil disobedience ?

I presume there's nothing in Auckland worth doing until we get the Alpurt B2 tunnel near Puhoi (and Wenderholm) in a few years.

You could always do like the guy who stole the Aston did, and race the over the harbour bridge, though it wasn't really an even race! I'd have paid to see their faces...

On that note, did they ever find the Aston??? It's not like NZ has a huge market for a stolen one...

On the "What ever happened to" front . . . the guy who got nicked for 'a sustained loss of traction' in the Merc 500 over Christmas ? ? ?

We used to do tunnel runs out to Lyttleton when I was at varsity in chch.... a TR7 with straight-through pipes never sounded so damned gooooood Daimler V8 sounded even better

But speaking of runs we must organise something before the weather turns foul again..... tunnel or no tunnel. Sunday picnic at Wenderholm anyone? Now just need one of you northies to map out a route for us Might ask one of the TVR guys what route to take as a few of them have been up that way before

Don't feel so bad, it's <=5 degrees C over here, and rain is forcast for the rest of the week, and at least you don't have to contend with salt on the roads!!!
