Dad's bought himself an auto and is not too far off needing to re-sit his license.

Thinking of loaning him one of my cars for the test as they're manuals.


. . . but which one

The westie!.... it's sequential and easier to drive

Can you imagine the examiner ??

I know they refuse to undertake the tests in cars that are not up to WoF standard . . . but can they refuse for any other reason ?
(Must do a search)

Not entirely convinced they would be all that pleased with an old-fella in a STi either

Most examiners are into cars and would be only too happy on a warm sunny summer day. After all, he wouldn't be getting in to a Westie driven by a 17 year old lad with just 15 hours experience....

hehe I heel-toed pretty much every downshift in my full licence test just to see if I could get a comment/reaction from the examiner about it, but he didnt say anything


got full marks though

Maybe you should have tried one of those 180° hand-brake parallel parking slides they got the grannies doing on TopGear.

didn't really want to repeat the test though, it costs money.
