S2 Elise - New Plymouth
Discussion
Hi Alex,
Are you thinking of bringing an Elise here? (just guessing from the title of the post)
I don't think you will be able to road register the TVR in NZ.
I haven't driven north of Wanganui (much to explore ), but the tight twisty roads around Wellington would probably suit an Elise. My car has very direct steering and it's a lot of fun. The only thing is the surface of the roads can be a load of st, bumpy and always patched. State Highway 1 near Raumati is atrocious, shakes my teeth out
Maybe the roads in Auckland are better, they are getting all the road funding now

volumex said:A minor point but from 1994 - 2004 the Auckland Region was under funded compared to the rest of the country, in proportion to the fuel taxes collected by $2.7Billion. If you compare it to population growth or Gross Domestic Product it's even worse.

In short it's our turn !!!

I'm not aware of any S2 owning PHers down that way but you're right . . . some of the roads in The 'Naki are brilliant for
Don't know of any Elises down that way.... but no doubt there will be one or two. ROUGHLY half of the Elises in NZ are in the Auckland area, there's at least 2 or 3 in Hamilton, must be a half dozen in Chch and then there's probably about another 20 sprinkled over the rest of NZ... they seem to turn up in most places, usually on twisty backroads... hence it's natural to find one in New Plymouth
