Tomorrow night (Tuesday) the Wellington Constructors Car Club have their annual 'skite nite' event (yes I do know it's Valentine's Day darling, but that's just american bull$hit propaganda darling and we can do something much more special another night... worked for me ).

I expect there'll be a mix of Sakers, 7s, various porsche/ferrari/lambo/etc replicas and kits, and the usual collection of one-off garden shed hideousities you see at this sort of thing. I'm going along to see if anyone else is playing with an LSx and have a chat to the local LVV certifiers (who all belong to this club). On from 7:30 at 3 Halford Place, Petone (Eastern end of Jackson Street by Shandon Golf Club) - PM me if you're going along and we can meet for a beer.

Pics from last year's event and some info about the club here:

Hope you had a good night Don. Just a little too far to come along.

Any idea what the skinless Bike-engined car is on the website ?

Yep interesting evening... and good to meet Iain A and see his mad 220hp duratec caterham (half the HP my Cerbera will have.... but half the weight too!). It's going to be real interesting to see what sort of time you can get around Manfeild Iain .

I wasn't around for this event last year but looking at the pic I think that one was there again in finished form. I don't know if it's a kit or scratch built but nicely kitted out with carbon seat, carbon wing and fat slicks - looks like it'd be a whole lot of fun on a track.

There's more pics of one looking very much like what was there last night on the home page link to the car show with "JRM" on the display board. If it's the same car then the CF wing must have been added after these pics.
