Bugger about the fun day being cancelled, but I appreciate the reason why and it'll be good to have some fun on the full track later in the year.... A few of us are heading down in Early march to gatecrash a mitsubishi NZ meeting there... keep those Evos honest

I might come for a look. Should have all the charred wiring and melted lights fixed by then . . . but the Westie ain't no Lotus

Don't let that stop you..... if you want to pay your club membership fee and sign up, there's nothing to say you can't bring the Westie to all events....... besides, out of all cars on the market today, there's few that typify Colin Chapman's famous original virtues better than an XTR²!

Yeah but then people would get to see just how much of a crap driver I am . . .

There are only so many times you can do a flat-spin through the Esses on your out-lap and still show your face in the pits

Now then !!!

Chasing a Lambo might de-wimp-ify me

BTW, If I can finish all my work by Friday I'll be supporting a factory race-prepared Zagato at Pukie next weekend

Aah ok, that one was at the last CLNZ puke sprints, have photos of it somewhere.... I LOVE the chunky '80s Zagato shape..... it's not really aged that well, but it's distinctive as hell and still quite attractive

Didn't finish work, in fact still at it . . . mostly.

F5000's were doing 54.6's

Zagato was only doing 1:10's. Bit of a heavy bird at over 1700kg. More time on the track and better rubber will see that come down.

What about Hansens mid 55's,and they reckon they've got another second in her.

And you did'nt even come down to say hello to us in the yellow TVR while you were out there, tut, tut.

Off to Manfield now.

George, call me re your engine before I use it as a boat mooring..

Any of you guys had a crack at the regularity trials before? I thinking they are running two groups at Puke > 1:18 class and > 1:28 Cripes having to contain yourself from planting the pedal You could almost read a book in one hand esp in the 1:28 class!! But would good to try my luck at consistency for a change rather than seeing how close I can get to having an OFF . I think all thats required is a motorsport licience, will find out.
