Just when I thought there were no Sevens in this country, up pops a green one blatting past us as we got back to Greenhithe! Does anyone know anything about this little beasty and will it be making an appearance tomorrow at Pukie??

I've seen two Se7ens in Greenhithe. One Green & the other a Plum-ish Red.

Both are Frasers which is kind of appropriate as the factory is across the creek in Beachhaven.

Don't know the owners

Seen quite a few sevens fatting along Hobsonville Rd > Upper harbour highway. Also an atom recently too. Plenty of nice exotics near home, two fezzas, lambo, lotus and plenty of porkers around here too. YUM!

Nice car it was too, would have been nice down at Pukie today! Was talking about Neil Fraser's place today actually, looks like I saw one of his beasties before I knew about the company!

yes, that one is oft to be seen on fraser club outings. driver/owner is a landagent up that way-can sometimes be seen wearing leather WW1 pilot headgear and smoking a pipe!

Oh, and the red one belongs to Keith & Deb, who live on Old North Rd by the bike park (nice fraser-driving road)

I suspect I may have made that word up. the flier read "Motorkhana" I think it's borrowed from horsey lingo (from gymkhana, which is folk etymology from hindi, on the analogy of gym(nastics). However, I assure you that we were not naked...), but I guess you're not after a lengthy missive on the provenance of the word.
Basically, we all had a go at getting around some cones as quickly as possible on a mowed grass paddock. very low-speed, good, clean(ish) fun -but the grass was not quite short enough for an XTR!!!
Only directive was "have fun" -probably a bit tame for many of yoozfullas

If you ever do one on a bowling green . . . let me know

On the otherhand maybe the STi would be a better choice.

Is it like Polo where the ladies "stomp" the divots at half-time ?
"Beware the steaming divot . . ."

Ladies competed too. No divots/birdies/mashie niblicks. we retired to the pavillion for lunch though.

I spotted a 7-a-like, probably a Fraser heading down the Northern motorway over the harbour bridge yesterday morning - must have been going to the gymkhana!

If it was yellow/spew flavoured with plate: ITS JED then it was, well, Jed. Fraser club's best known eccentric (loony) character. He arrived late, did one run, cackling like a manic witch and then left again.
