Having seen very little in the way of fun cars since arriving in NZ, I have seen heaps in the past few days - is silly season bringing people out of hiding??

I spotted heaps of classics south as we made our way north from Wellington to Taupo. Spotted a Ferrari 456 and TVR Griff in Taupo and even, can't believe it, a Lamborghini Countach in Wellington!!

What is going on guys It's amazing!

now that you mention it, I saw an orange TVR Griff in Timaru yesterday, just burbling past down the street.

Yup, the season brings them out... I've done over 500 miles on the Lotus in the last week! Given the nice weather, a lot of the winter garage queens are coming out to play

Perhaps Santa thought that there were a few little boys who'd been so good all year that they deserved to get what they asked for!

Dear Santa

I know I haven't been very good this year but I can explain . . .

All I want for Christmas is fine weather around Pukekohe on 5 Jan.

Did I just jinx it ??

Yep, I saw a little blue Ferrari just yesterday up on the Saddle road (Tararua). Loads of bikers out as well and some of then seem to be covering some ground (well once you are caught doing over 140km/h you lose you licence any way…may as well give it everything and go for a “run” ).

Having a good time ben?

I haven't seen any exotics lately, but might cruise into town on Saturday if it is fine to go car watching.

Yeah but there are a few too many metal bits. Designing the XTR8 out of carbon . . .

I'm very rarely lost for words actually!

Remember I live in Drury at the start of the unofficial test track ('Old' Great South Road).

Hey guys
Yep it seems the weather is the answer, however I managed to balance out the good stuff by visiting Rotorua (sorry if anyone is from there... really sorry for you!) I saw a Jag XJ8 with plastic spinners, a Suzuki Wagon R with a huge spoiler and dump valve and a luminous green 911 Convertible. Seems the weather brings out the crap cars too!!

Yeah, lived in RotoVegas for 4 years. Some good golf courses and great people but on balance . . . No.

Had my flat broken into 4 times and had my first car stolen . . .
